RIDE ALERTS
For trouble for cyclists in the area see HAZARDS
The residents of Hogans Branch and Happy Hollow have requested that all cyclists wear bright, visible clothing if they ride on these roads as dusk approaches. The setting sun in their eyes and the dark hills make it difficult for them to see cyclists and they don't want to hit anyone.
RT 109 between Hollis Chapel and Bug Hollow now has rumble strips on it making it virtually impossible for a bicycle to ride on the shoulder of the road and ruining these roads for safe cycling.

BBQ RIDE
Head's BBQ is at 1053 Dorris Winters Road in Chap-mansboro. This is off of I-24 West (toward Clarksville) at Exit 19, Maxey Road. Turn left off the exit. At the stop sign (by the Shell station), you will see Dorris Winters Road across Hwy 41A slightly to your left. Head's BBQ is maybe a mile down on the left. There is a flag flying out front. The best place to park is along the fence to the right of the building.
With the exception of a few crossings, these are rural roads where the biggest threats are dogs and road debris and/or rough pavement with an occasional dear, duck, wild turkey, etc. thrown in for variety. Motorists have been sparse and most tolerant. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.
