Our standard tool to detail a ride is with MapMyRide. Many include Cue Lists. Click the following button for access.

PRINTING MAPS
In most cases the view that shows your entire maps has little value for long rides. You'll need to expand the map, to the point where you can read the major street names, copy multiple sections of it to a Word Processor (e.g. MS Word), and print it. These instructions are for MS Internet Explorer and Word.
1) On your computer open Internet Explorer (IE) to "Full Screen" (double boxes in top-right corner) and open a ride map in MapMyRide.
2) Click four orange triangle in upper left to open map to "Full Screen".
3) In IE menu bar select View and then "Full Screen" in the drop-down menu.
4) Zoom & pan the map until you have your first image.
5) Press keys <shift> + <Prnt Scrn> to transfer to Windows Clip Board.
6) Open Word (don't close MapMyRide) and setup the page orientation (most likely to landscape) and minimum margins (e.g. 0.5").
7) In Word select EDIT, then Paste to paste map into Word page.
8) Print the Map.
9) Click on the map image and then press Delete key to remove this map section from Word.
10) Go back to MapMyRide and re-position it to a new section of your ride. Leave a little overlap with the previous section so can see how the multiple section join. Repeat steps 5) through 9) until you have printed all your ride.
MapMyRide provides feature in addition to just maps, such as a Bulletin Board for Events, Training Schedules. Some FOGBEES have requested a way to record Training and Miles-Ridden Schedules. They are available on MapMyRide.
Unfortunately, MapMyRide management changed several of its policies regarding the FREE stuff. We have been forced to developed "hacks" to obtain FREE maps print-outs and cue sheets instead of paying exhorbitant prices for the PDF version MayMyRide provides. You find instructions on this page.
Nevertheless, everyone should explore what they offer and JOIN OUR GROUP. It's a great Cycling Resource
and a fantastic mapping utility.
GPS Logs of Fogbee Rides
Today I took my gps along on the Milkshake ride and uploaded the track to both under the name of Fogbee080719 Milkshake. My intent is to continue to use the gps on our rides and upload them using the same naming system FogbeeYYMMDD plus small descriptor. Or at least till it is obviously of no use or I get bored with it. The naming system will allow easier searching for a specific ride on either site.

MapMyRide has two options for marking a course: 1) Set it to follow automatically the roads and create Notes, or 2) Mark along route and enter Cues. The latter is preferred for two reasons: The automatic process 1) is "buggy," often sending where you don't want to go and creating wierd notes, and 2) Draws lines down the center of the road obliterating the road names.
Mark the route nearthe side of the road, avoid lines passing through a road names. Follow the bends and turns in the road in order to get accurate elevation profiles. This technique allows unequivocal "out and back" markings.
For the best results with MapMyRide use Google Chrome. New mapping tool has resolved most of the earlier problems with MapMyRide . MapMyRide is based on Google Maps. Street names are barely legible, even at the greatest zoom level.
